This fine replica sword is patterned after the U.S. Model 1860 Light Cavalry saber issued prior to the Civil War, and which was used during that period and into the Plains Indians Wars of the 1870s and 1880s. Measuring 40" overall, this saber features a 35" carbon steel blade. The leather wrapped handle fits the hand perfectly and sports decorative brass accents and a shiny brass pommel. The sculpted hand guard is made of brightly polished brass. This saber includes a nickel-plated steel scabbard with lanyard rings. This is a superb item, and will make any Civil War or historical collector supremely satisfied with its authenticity and detail!
